Muoversi a Firenze: efficienza e qualità dei mezzi di trasporto

Firenze è una città di dimensioni medie, a portata d’uomo, dove l’intera area del centro è facilmente percorribile a piedi o in bici. Tuttavia Firenze dispone di funzionali ed efficienti mezzi di trasporto, pubblici e privati, che consentono di spostarsi in maniera agile e smart sia all’interno del centro che nella sua immediata periferia.

Non è presente una vera e propria metropolitana, tuttavia nel corso degli ultimi anni è stato messo a punto il progetto Tramvia, una “metro” di superficie che al momento ha all’attivo due linee e che consente di spostarsi in maniera semplice e veloce in molte zone della città, altrimenti più difficoltoso a causa della lontananza e del traffico auto.

Sono presenti molte linee di autobus pubblici che, parallelamente alla Tramvia, consentono gli spostamenti da e verso il centro.

Firenze è ben collegata a livello autostradale e stradale con altre città importanti ed è uno snodo fondamentale nella rete viaria italiana. I principali collegamenti auto sono sulla linea Firenze-Bologna e sulla linea Firenze-Roma. Sono presenti collegamenti verso Ovest, verso Pisa e il mare, tramite la strada di grande comunicazione Firenze-Pisa-Livorno (o FiPiLi, strada statale gratuita) oppure tramite autostrada Firenze-Mare e Lucca-Viareggio.

I taxi sono disponibili in tutta la città e possono essere prenotati in anticipo o cercati alla fermata. Il prezzo di un viaggio in taxi dipende dalla destinazione e dalla durata del viaggio.
